Svpply

I finally “finished” my first home recording project. I’ve always tinkered in Garageband to demo, but this is my first attempt to do something with semi-better quality in Logic Express 9.

I’m a bit of a gear nerd so here’s what I ended up using to record everything (P.S. my brother did the drum programming):

// Instruments //
Guitars - MIM Fender Telecaster Standard (‘04), MIM ‘72 Fender Telecaster Custom
Bass - Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass
Drums - Programmed via Logic X

// Amps //
Vox AC30 CC
Bass model via Logic 9 Express

// Effects //
Line 6 M13
Fulltone Fulldrive Mosfet 2

// DAW + Recording Gear //
Logic Express 9 (Primary)
Logic X (Drums only)
Apogee Duet 2
Shure SM57
MXL 990 Vocal Mic

Mmmm. Mmmm.

This record is quickly becoming one of my top 2013 releases. The bridge makes this one of my favorites on the album.

Fresh Start

My life has a been on hold for the past 17 months, but now things are changing. The heaviness is lifting and I feel like doing anything and everything. One of those things is keeping my blog updated regularly. I plan to keep this space personal, keeping true to the original sense of a personal blog. Anything that I find inspirational, re-post-worthy (my word), and what would most likely be found a general Tumblr site will be captured at colorandcanvas.tumblr.com.

Here’s to fresh starts and new ambitions to keep life exciting. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness these past months.
